ParticipantI have a Whirlpool AWM6100/3 not emptying or going to spin.
When pump out is selected it will empty, when spin only is selected it does spin.
When watching programme strange buzz sound & motor seems to advance drum 1mm at a time. But doesn’t revolve as normal.
I have taken blockage from filter & cleaned armature & checked that there is good length on carbon brushes.September 7, 2007 at 12:44 pm #226896richardable

Already thought of this & checked it thanks for reply.
A few points though, when I blew into pressure switch, there was only one click, is this correct?
Also customer has contacted me & said that machine will work in Rapid Wash setting. Which i find strange..September 12, 2007 at 8:37 am #226898Seamy

OK back to same fault, Electronic buzzing, pulsing sound coming from electronics, drum will advance a few milimeters at a time but won’t go into spin. Motor looks healthy, brushes are good & armature clean.
Tacho also looks & meters ok.
I was wondering is there any test or reset procedure for this machine?
Do Electronic Controls cause much grief on this model, I don’t see an awful lot of Whirlpool.September 12, 2007 at 9:20 pm #226899admin
KeymasterIf he makes spin program till “End” then motor; pumps, pressure switch is OK.
Enter into service mode end see what will say…
I will rewrite memory program first.September 12, 2007 at 9:27 pm #226900senseib

Thanks for that I do have a Whirlpool Sios disc from 2002 but this model wasn’t listed, can I do a software download to update it with recent machines (if so from where) or do I have to get a new disc?
