We have had a couplr of fault codes come up on our washing machine. We hope someone can help!

A few days ago my wife came into the kitchen and found the washing machine had stopped. She had a look and found a couple of lights lit up on the Spin Speed and also Pre Rinse section. Unfortunatly i cant tell you exactly which ones. She also noticed that F4 was showing on the countdown timer. She swithced machine off and then restarted it on rinse and spin.

Yesterday the machine stopped again, this time she noticed a FP Code on the countdown timer. She then proceeded to open filter at the bottom of the machine and flooded the kitchen!!! 😕

The machine was bought at B&Q approx 3yrs ago – we have cleaned filter and was just wondering does any body have any ideas?

Also where can i get hold of a copy of SIOS?

    Thakns – Paul

    Paul,
FP is failure to drain in the specified time. It is very likely that an object has got through the filter and jammed the pump itself. The 5p piece and the Kirby grip keep washing machine engineers employed all over the world! 😆

If you are not sure of your abilities, stick up your postcode and hopefully one of UKW’s engineers will be able to help you.

Do nothing without pulling the plug first.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

Ok, I have found out more info about this fault – it only seems to happen on a certain wash cycle – Synthectics 40 & 60 degree settings. All other programs seem fine.

Any ideas? My postcode is SO40 3NR – if there is anyone near by who thinks its worth repairing please leave me some contact details.

    Regards

    Paul.
