    Looks like it’s coming from below, not from the door. This is about 4 days after the spin noise has kicked up to being really really bad (it wakes the baby…upstairs).

    Are these related, you think? Is it worth getting it repaired? It’s about 8 years old.

    We do have a repairman who we trust coming on Monday, but I just need to know if I should do washing machine shopping over the weekend.

    Loud noises on spin and water on the floor is likely to be the drum bearings failing – a major (and expensive) repair on one of these machines.

    So it looks like it’s time for a new machine, I guess. This one’s 8 years old, so it’s proper time.

    Off to look at the buying advice! Wish I could get an ISE, but we’re in Ireland and I don’t think there’s any way to get it here.
