ParticipantEvening all
Whirlpool awm321 won’t spin, does the rest of the cycle but at spin time only goes round at normal washing speed. Checked the brushes and it’s emptying out ok…a bit stumped now 😕 , any ideas anyone?
Many thanks

Water level control system? If it thinks it’s full of water, it won’t spin.
Power off if you choose to investigate.

Thanks for the replies guys!
Forgot to say the water level switch seems to be working ok (pump comes on if you blow into it and goes off when you stop).
Would the door interlock affect only the spin part of the cycle?
Thanks

Check the obvious – is the door locked?

Ok, if the door interlock was knackered the machine would not run through a cycle which it does, the only thing it won’t do is spin at full speed. So unles I’m being stupid (always a possibility 😆 ) I can’t see it being a door lock fault or can it?
Thankyou for your time!

ofcource u right
am just a belgium
but if u would have a interlock that turns on machine and also aa safety feature meaning 2 switches one to start and one to protect against spinning whiles door openas i say prove me wrong replace interlock if not i come and fix the machine myself free of charge
am stupid but it did happen to me
no spin IS THE INTERLOCK

Oh alright then I’ll do it! Didn’t realise it would be a two stage kind of thing. It might be a rash promise to come and fix the machine as I live half a mile from Lands End….a longish old way from Manchester! Mind you easier than coming from Belgium 😀 .
I’ll let you know how it goes and thankyou for your time and trouble.

ParticipantRe: whirlpool awm321 won’t spin
Oh Damn!! 🙁
When I fitted the door switch I tested the spin and it spun up a treat but a load of washing has now come out wet so not spinning again. The first thing I checked when all this started was the brushes, plenty of life left in them, so any other ideas please?
Thanks
