    Whirlpool AWM5104/4 857051415230

Start machine on program 6 it will fill and wash but when it gets to daily load just before program 7 (heater?) it trips out the RCD. I have tried insulation test with megger, I get a reading of 205 meg ohms, if I disconnect the two wires to the heater the machine works ok, so I fitted a new heater only it still trips out unless I disconnect the heater. I have checked the brown and blue wires from the timer to the heater and cannot see anything wrong there.
It’s got to be live to neutral? Fault but I can’t find it.
Has anyone else had this fault, any help would be much appreciated

Looks like this machine only has an NTC, no thermostats? I wonder if there is another small earth leakage fault in the property and the RCD is close to tripping all the time. I have seen a case where if you switched more than 2 lights on the RCD would trip but the fault was actually in the ring main wiring.

Thanks for all the help but went back on Friday with a recon machine and it triped out the RCD.
This is a flat that is let, so along with the owner we got it down to the cooker, if this was switched off all worked ok. No body told him that the cooker was not working! no timer display on cooker. So he said he would just change it.

    Thanks again
