whirlpool awm5145/3 only drains

has anyone come across a fault on these models where the machine will only work if you select the drain cycle. i have no drum action if i select any wash cycle and the pump doesn’t run either. i have checked the carbon brushes, heater circuit, the pressure switch clicks if i blow into it and valves check out ok, i then fitted a timer/module but still have only the drain cycle working, any help is welcome. thank you.

Door interlock maybe ?

Look at the door, has it moved over to the left slightly?
Used to take the hinge off, lay it curved side up and tap it with a hammer.
This was enough to centre the door again and it would then operate the interlock.

if its not the brushes,thre will be bad connection at the motor block ❗ had the same fault a while back,and it was the brushes

Hooray. The machine is working, it was a broken wire in the motor loom, the sleave was fine but the wire was broke where the loom cable ties to the underside of the drum. thanks anyway for the sugestions.
