ParticipantHi Guys
I have a Whirpool AWM8123 12 nc:-857081215100 that is doing strange things. The customer puts it onto a daily load 30 minute 30 degree wash and presses start. The door locks then pump action then fill action and wash action after a couple of minute the display shows 1 hour and 29 mins.Is it a module fault or a timer fault or even the connecting wire from the timer to the front module?
Any advice or if anyone has had this problem b4 i start ordering expensive parts
Cheers

Then what happens SparkyP ? Stops dead in it’s tracks or aborts with an error code ?
Motor brushes by any chance 😕

Hi Dave
No the machine just keeps going but does not do a spin cycle. I know that if there is no motor action on the whirlpool, the door open light comes on and then that is a motor fault.Sparkyp

Hi Sparkyp,
I know you say display shows a time but do any of the spin speed leds flash?, this model uses them for error codes. Test routine on Sios Cd 💡 .
I Only ever seem to have pressure stat chamber probs with this machine.

Hi Tubs
The machine will not enter the diagnostic cycle. I have tried it a couple of times. I been servicing whirlpool for 10 years and this one is a new one on me. Any ideas? We have problems with the lead that connects the timer to the module. But that is a no display problem( Whirlpool do not supply these as a part have to get them from the returns) Any way this is usually F11
This machine i am on now does not display any error code
Hope this sheds any light on it
