ParticipantHope someone can help me out here.
After removing the impeller and clenning out a load of gunk within the mechnism to no avail I’ve decided the FP fault on my whirlpool AWM8123 washing machine is due to a knackered pump. I purchased a new pump from the ukwhitegoods site and came to install only to find the power connector has changed.
The old connection is shown here:
http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg36 … ldpump.jpgWhilst the new one is here.
http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg36 … ewpump.jpgThe plastic thingy which connects to the old pump obviously won’t fit the new one, so I’m guessing I need either a new connector at the end of the power supply lead, or to replace the lead itself, however, I don’t know how to go about getting what I need.
Can someone help I’d what am I asking for and where should I ask (electric supplier store?)
Please can someone help me out. I’m loathe to call someone out to fix this as whatever I need is going to cost less than a fiver once I know what ‘it’ is.

There are ten (yes, 10) AWM8123 variants. 5 of them use pump 4812 310 18458, 5 of them use pump 4812 310 28144. We’d need the 12nc number to identify your exact model. This is the one that starts 85———-. Or tell us the part number of the one you’ve got, ‘cos it’ll be the other one.

ParticipantThanks for the reply,
My order reply stated 4812 310 28144
Model number: 8570 812 15100
Have I got the wrong one then?

You should have 4812 310 18458.
Let Dave know on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and it’ll get sorted quickly.

Im assuming you have tried clearing the pressure bottle !
a faulty pump would be obvious as it wouldnt drain !!!! -
