    hi guys im replacing bearings in this drum i have the drum out but i cant see how the tub splits it looks glued together , anyone have a go at one of these thanks

    Yep, another sealed drum assembly (Part No. 481241818744). Get that baby apart and replace the bearings and you can probably walk on water or even plait sawdust as well! 😈

    unbelieveable , is there a sticky for these, makes sense not to have to do what i did, 1 and a half hours later !!doh

    You might find it useful to do a search, such as “welded” or “split tub”. That should provide you with ample reading! 😉

    turns out the washer is only 18 months old ha , customer wanted to get it fixed under warranty , i left it in her garage over christmas ,tub on the ground , and the whirlpool tech said he would swing by in the new year at a cost of 50 quid (under warranty) ? he arrived yesterday put in the new tub and left the washer in the garage ??? no connecting it up to see if all was well , no i’ll just bring that inside for you and connect it up ? what kind of service do these guys provide? so customer calls me and asks if i will hook it up to water and leccy , so half hour later all installed again turn on power and bang !! tripped mcb , so i reset breaker and no power in m/c , crazy stuff !
