Power into main PCB but no lights at all and machine will not start.
A visual of the PCB shows no signs of obvious damage. Is this a known problem with this machine.
Also does anyone know the part number/price of the PCB?
TIA.
Jim.

control pcb part no. 481221470046 programmed
481228210207 un-programmed. have you checked the motor as this can give you a dead appliance.Bob.
ps if you want the service manual pm me an email address. 🙂

Motor brushes etc are fine, first thing I went for TBH.
Would a motor fault cause no display lights at all though, I usually find they will light up but then do nothing else if the brushes are worn.:?
I do have a copy of the last but one SIOS disc on my laptop, sadly despite johnmacs best efforts it will not run on this (desktop) PC.
I was in a rush when I posted earlier so didn’t bother firing up my lappy. 😳
Thanks for the part numbers.
Jim.

Excellent call reaper, went back today and that very resistor is O/C. :tup:Jim.

Can anyone confirm that THIS will be suitable.
The one on the board has red, red, black space then gold rings.

See Martin114’s post here The one you’ve chosen might be just a bit big, might make it a squeeze for space. Edit: Just realised it is probably a protection device too, so it would be like fitting a higher value fuse 😯 .
I can post you a couple 1st class Monday am if you email me your address.

Thanks Mike, reading that post reveals that I was involved in that thread. Its a possibility that I may have ordered some of those at the time, now just need to find the little blighters. 😳

The time you spent hunting them down, you could have fitted in another WMA bearing + spider job 😆 .

I’ve just received 5 of these resistors from RS (152-347). Now, where exactly on the board in question do I stuff it? Do please keep you reply clean, play fair and in as few words as possible to enable this old duffer the chance to grab this hi tech opportunity for all its worth. A piccy of the board would help too! 😀

From memory 😳
I think the resistor is numbered R020 on the board.
I just checked them all until I found the O/C one.
