Whirlpool Awo/d049

Set programme machine starts then after a few seconds it stops and the service light starts flashing.
When set to drain the machine doesent fault, presumably cause there is no motor action
Checked carbons,heater,wiring loom cant find the fault .would i be correct in assuming it will be a board problem or motor problem,but which?
Any pointers in the right direction greatly appreciated.

check wv or pump not oc, cant remember long time but has the door lock got a msw built in
