Hi, I have a Whirlpool AWO/R 4205 (859234615008). I had a drain pump fault which turned out to be a hair clip caught in the impeller, I cleared this and the machine now drains. But, when I put it on a cycle it will fill but the drum doesn’t turn and eventually the service light comes on. I put it on to a test cycle, it filled but again the drum didn’t turn, and the following lights were displayed – Rinse (green, solid) Rinse Hold (green, solid) Service (red, solid) and Start (pause) (green, flashing). Having looked at the fault codes (different model) this appears to be an F06 fault (drive motor tachometer error), is this correct? Any reason for this fault to manifest after the drain pump fault? Any easy fixes available for this fault?
I’ve searched the forums and couldn’t see this question, apologies if this has been asked before.

It is likely to be a motor fault of some description, fault codes are far from an exact science.

Check the brushes first I’d suggest.

It was the brushes, thanks K, of course I’m still in trouble with the wife for not fixing it sooner……
    Thanks again.
