    Hi

I have a Whirlpool washing machine AWO12963/5 that is 4 years old. A couple of times in the past 2 weeks it has sounded an alarm and stopped towards the end of a cycle and the display says that the pump is blocked. However, when we open the hatch and drain via the bottom/filter, it doesn’t appear to be blocked at all. Once we’ve drained the water, it seems to work fine again until the next time.

Can anyone give me an idea of what might be wrong and whether I need to call out an engineer please?

    Thanks
    Charlotte

Partial blockage? Sock in tub to pump hose or on top of the ecoball; possible that sink coupling is choked (if appropriate).
