Can anyone please confirm that f12 on this appliance is a heater fault. Heater tests out ok for earth and resistance. 27 ohms. Error code shows about 10 seconds after start. If I disconnect heater I then get f8 code. My instinct is pcb board. Any helpers please April 29, 2016 at 8:36 am #437358 CriscoldParticipant Re: Whirlpool awoe9120. F12 F12 listed as Heater short circuit ?? Heater Resistance 26.0 – 28.09 April 29, 2016 at 8:27 pm #437359 bobokinesParticipant Re: Whirlpool awoe9120. F12 Thanks for that, that is what I had in mind too. I have never heard of a short circuit heater. It is a virtual impossibility for a heater to go short circuit! The terminals are at each end. I wonder if this should read Earth fault on heater! I am convinced there must be a fault on the main pcb.
