My mother has a Whirlpool AWX650 Condenser Dryer which has developed a fault. The fault basically stops the whole machine i.e. the drum stops rotating during the “rest” phase and the machine seems to overheat.
    Any suggestions would be great.

I doubt it, probably an AWZ650 in fact?

The dryer stops to reverse tumble for less that 3 seconds as I recall, so if that “rest” period is any longer with your mums machine, maybe the timer is at fault?

But to be sure I need you to tell us more detail and confirm the model and serial number would also be a help? 🙂

Sorry guys, have just spoken with the mother who today sent the dryer to tumble heaven so cannot say anything more. Thanks anyway!
