Hi, dryer stopped mid cycle yesterday. When you try restarting there is a “buzzing” sound from the motor but not much else happening. Belt looks ok, Not sure how to tackle a motor or capacitor fault if thats what it might be ? Any ideas or feedback welcome. Thanks !

You’ll need to replace the motor’s capacitor. If that is beyond your capability then call in a local independent repairer.

Hi Martin. Replaced the capacitor, no change. Self repair guide suggests replacing the motor as the next step which is around £150 from a quick google search for a genuine part – ouch. Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks Ameet
