Whirlpool AWZ512/SE fills drum on drying cycle

857594615000 Went to this one assumed pump sticks after so long. Replaced drain pump but problem reported is actually if dryer cycle run on its own machine fills with water and floods. If dryer selected to come on after completing normal wash it works ok??? Drain pump ran ok when i selected dryer cycle for 40 mins (comes on every minute)
Any ideas?

Not sure about the flooding bit but i have done a few of these lately where the problem has been the selector switch. It plays up, like not cancelling programme so when you select new one it carries on with previous one. Had it filling on dry cycle because although you’ve selected dry the switch has selected a wash. Replace switch if this is the problem.

Ta Subs. Went to reinspect and with dial in off position showed 1200 spin selected. If knob tapped went off. On order.
