    Hi,
I have a Whirlpool AWZ 541 condenser tumble dryer. After moving house recently it was clear that something had gone wrong with it becuase it started leaking water out of the bottom. A check showed that only a small amount of water was being put in the water cartridge, which suggests to me that a pump is broken or not working properly. Am I right in thinking that is the most likely cause, and if so what parts do I need and are they/it easy to replace? Are any special tools required? Thanks in advance for your help.

If it’s just been moved, it’s far more likely that a hose has been dislodged or lots of fluff has run back into the pump chamber and blocked the pump. Access through lid and back cover.

    Power off before touching anything.

Thanks. Had a look in the back as suggested and saw no pipes dicsconnected. The pump/pump chamber didn’t look to be accessibe without removing the drum itself – is that right? I guess this is a specialist job?

Yup – how brave are you? 😀 Not actually difficult – make diagrams of where everything goes and a bit of patience will do the trick.
