Whirlpool AWZ7303 Condensor Dryer. Filter light comes on.

I Went out to one of the above today. After aprox 10 mins the check filter light comes on and stays on for around 20 mins. Customer says the drying efficiency is poor and seems to be taking twice as long to work. If the dryer is left 10-15 mins or so to cool down, it works as normal then repeats the fault. I have had a quick look round it. The condensor heat exchange is like new and the filter is perfect. No signs of a blockage. I took the back off to look at the element which is working ok. The TOCs don’t look that great; they seem to be black in places (look a bit burnt). I know these TOC’s are a common thing to fail on whirlpool dryers, but never had this fault thrown at me. Any ideas please?

Loose fan or dodgy front thermostat can do this.

Hi, the filter light comes on if the green stat at the back loses continuity. I’ve had this many times. You need a stat kit part no.481225928681

As above robwash is quite correct changed them more times than I can remember.
