    Whirlpool T/D AWZ8812 service no 857588115130.

Went to one of these the other day for a no heat fault. Thermostats on element good, element good, wiring good. Took module out and checked for visible damage – also good. Is there something I’m missing or is it a new module? Is there another thermostat somewhere? Machine is only about 18 months old.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Have had a few exhaust stat O/C’s lately with the newer products.

It’s on the front of the drum support behind the front panel Dave.

I think you can get at it by removing the plinth, not done one in a while 😉

    Hi AMS
Open the door and press the button to get access to the lower region. ie: Heat exchanger. On the bottom plinth there are 3 hex screws, take them out and behind the panel you will see a stat with a yellow circle. That is the exhaust stat. If everything else checks out ok, ie: heater and stats then this is the culprit. If you change it just advise your customer the benefit of letting the dryer do the full cycle down to zero which encorporates the cool down cycle/
