Whirtlpool chest freezer WCN 11, the interior light packed up. Replaced the bulb with correct Whirlpool screw-in lamp but still nothing… Wondering how it is switched as I can’t see a physical switch either near the bulb unit or on the lid and freezer mating surfaces???
I believe some chest freezers use a tilt switch in the lid – probably part of the light fitting – but don’t know if that’s the case here. Another option would be that the feed wire to the light has broken where it flexes with the lid opening and closing.
