ParticipantHave a Whirlpool D/W not washing if you have the door open and run the machine it fills and the pump is working, water just sprays out of the arms without them hardly turning.
I know whiskeyjack6058 said when I had a similar problem that it could be the “sieve cover” but had a look at it and it looks ok
The machine is only about 2 years old and had a new wash pump fitted under guarantee.
Anyone got any ideas please.

If the water is only trickling out of both spray arms it will probably be the wash pump at fault.

Bernie states that the machine has already had a wash pump, so this is will be a proper job, instead of the Big Askoll one.
Medicine spoon in the heater hose did exactly this to me a while ago.

Hi, Yes I know he said that, but I have to say that when I came across this, it was a recall from another engineer who had fitted a new motor. It sounds like the same thing to me. cheers Rob

on the seive cover make sure the duct feed to upper spray arms cant pull out of cover otherwise water escapes out and starves the spray arms, just a suggestion as i didnt know wether you knew the fault with them smartin

Nearly fitted a new wpl dishwasher motor that was a little stiff to turn a few weeks ago. Prob had a knock as it was ok after re-assemble. Don’t know if it would have ran slow.
