Very strange, perhaps Lancashire Google works better than others, would be interesting to find out what other people get when entering CPC on its own into Google. 😕
But who cares you have to be right
If you say so. 8) 🙂

type in cpc.co.uk gets you to the right place.
.co.uk or .com very often seems to work.November 20, 2008 at 4:35 pm #231435johnmac11

If I type CPC into Google the first hit is surprisingly cpc.farnell.com

Just worked out what the problem was. 😉
The CPC site has been at the very top of the Google search page for a very, very long time, the cpc hgv training link is one of the sponsored links down the small right hand side column of the first page rendered. 8)
The important stuff is always in the main body of the screen. 🙂

some google adds are targeted at certain areas, so you may not see the add in london, but see it in manchester,
it depends what the company has specified when placing add..also every time you click through the add it costs the company anything from 10p to £10 depending on its pos..
i think we may have put a dent on there marketing budget ooops

I have asked several people from all parts of the country ( via another forum ) to check this out and every single one gets the CPC web site at the top of the Google search results page. 😉
However this is going way :offtopic: so lets let it lie. 8)

I think CPC are part of Farnell. If you order from CPC you have to pay a carriage charge(?). If you order from http://www.uk.farnell.com carriage is free. (But UPS still can’t always find you :rolls: ).

Just did my first Whirlpool dishwasher flowmeter job yesterday. Machine was giving a definite 7 flashes but customer didn’t seem able to count this for themselves :rolls: , otherwise I might have been able to do it in one visit.
Anyway, I am very grateful to you guys here for sharing the info and to UKW for providing the platform. I would really have been flummoxed without the info, especially as machine was built into tight corner requiring disconnect and drag out to work on.
My post above states that farnell does free delivery. This is no longer true unless you have a £20 order. RS however are still doing free delivery. It may be necessary to open an account but this is very simple and they never hassle you to buy more! (I’ve spent only about £50 in five years and never had more than one phone call in all that time.)
Reed switch I used is RS p/no. 229-3692. 52p. Delivery by parcelforce next day included in price even if you just buy one.

As another thought, Bosch dishwashers also use reed switches in their flowmeter jugs (as they call them), not so expensive as the WPL side tanks but worth changing the switches on returned units for exchange purposes. 💡
