ParticipantIs it possible to get the small flowmeter board for this? Fault occurs shortly after fill starts with beeps and initially six flashes from start button until level drops then seven flashes which I read indicates flow meter fault. We had previously fitted ntc sensor and QER have refurbished board although dishwasher has hardly been used and is in very clean condition includind side tank. Flowmeter spins freely. Help ❓ ❓

Unfortunately it only comes as part of the water matrix.
Never had to replace one though, always been a case of clean the contacts, tighten the plug and away it goes bar one where it was fed from a well. Worked ok in workshop but not in customers house.Brian

Thanks Brian, I’ll have a go at the contacts again, but unit is as clean as new! I did get it to fill once after refitting plug but then it overfilled! Do you have a part no for side tank. My other thought was maybe the timer module is still faulty.

Replaced my first the other day. using a magnet got the wheel to turn inside panel. no pulses measured on terminals. Reed switch faulty. Would only close/open if magnet placed directly on reed switch.

🙂 🙂 Just a note to say that new flowmeter tank solved problem. There was no pulse when metering old flowmeter board when filling. I presume that either the reed switch was faulty or the magnetic part of the fan impeller was. Shall check next time ❗ ❗

I must find reed switch for the future to fit to board. Fitted orientation is important. Mine was just lazy. Glad u got it sorted.

i’m sure you’ll find one in the R.S. catalogue or C.P.C. if you use them. they are good for replacement relays for power boards 12 or 24 volt about 90p each. i also use them for micro switches on smeg diverter valves instead of buying the whole thing.

KeymasterFlow meter (in general) has inside one proximity transistor activated by magnetic field. Exactly the same are tacho generators from motors (some Siemens; LG; Samsung).
Most of them go out because of dirty which stops impellor (with magnet) to rotate, that because magnet it self is attracting all metal part from water. Those can be cured by cleaning. But are cases in which transistor itself is dead. Most of them work at 5 volts.

I’ve recently successfully replaced the reed switch [ which wasn’t closing properly ] on the small pcb. It’s CPC part no. SW00172; 61p.
The diagnostics correctly indicated a flowmeter fault.

Hi,
Had several of these flow meter faults and never found that squeezing the connection works so want to try new reed switches. Can’t find CPC so can you tell me where to find them?
Thanks

Hi Rob
You’ll find them here http://cpc.farnell.com/
Not the cheapest but they do hold a good range….

Thanks Clive,
ordered a couple,
and Jim,
why post that comment, google CPC and see what you get. No mention of the “farnell” part in any post.

Come on, there is no mention of the http:// or the .com in any of the posts either. Google for CPC and you get their web site link at the very top of the page. :rolls: 8)
