whirlpool dishwasher 7 flashes

hi there, frustrated here as paid engineers and its come back not fixed.

i’ve just broken (*#&{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}) the reed switch on the flowmeter of my machine. didn’t realise it was a fragile piece of glass. so my question is, without knowing for sure what the fault is (7 flashes), should i simply buy a new fill chamber, or buy some reed switches and a soldering iron!

reed switch and soldering iron a lot cheaper .usually it is just bad contact but you will have to replace reed switch now obviously.
