ParticipantAny thoughts please.
Machine has 3 programs on rotary dial, centre one selected, No indication of programmes in instruction book, other 2 look like pre wash and intensive wash, so assume centre one is normal wash.Press start button, programme light and start light illuminated.
Machine pumps away then fills, circulation motor starts, then does a hot wash for about 15 to 20 mins, circulation motor stops and then water pumped away. But the pump keeps running for a long time, till eventually the start button flashes, no sequence, just keeps flashing all the time.Reset machine using instructions in user book, start programme again it will do just the same as described above.
Machine approx 7 years old.

Hi Malc
Have a look in the sump at about the 3 o’clock position, there is a black plastic mesh which covers the pressure diaphragm, and also manages to trap all sorts of gunge preventing the diaphragm returning to the empty position. You can usually clean it from the inside with something like a piece of cable and flushing it after, but if its really sticky you’ll need to go underneath and unclip the diaphragm assy.March 31, 2005 at 3:51 pm #130410funkyboogy

also sounds like you could have a problem with the thermistor, which is situated at the sump area..if you follow the 2 thin blue wires from the module you will find the t/mistr..a half turn will remove it…..
i had this fault recently ie starts >> wash,s>>heats and then aborts after 15-20 mins>> aborted due to no heat sensed by t/mister…
worth a try ..March 31, 2005 at 4:56 pm #130411Electricmalc

Hiya,
Funkyboogy got it.
It’s a fault with the NTC. Continuous flashing is most likely a single flash, indicating fault code F1, this being an NTC fault.DP

Result I hope.
Customer has used the DW once, since I cleaned out the Diaphragm as suggested by Clive. Had to take it right out of the machine, and remove the plasic grid which protects it, twas full of crud.
Hopefully it will continue to function properly.
Thanks to all for your help, I have learnt a lot regarding this machine.
