whirlpool dishwasher adp5540

hi guys, having a headache with this dishwasher.machine pumps out,then fills to start level,the wash motor doesnt start and it shows 6 flashes until i reset and it pumps to empty. fault codes indicate faults with reed switch or door wiring.ive replaced the reed switch,belled out all wiring[seems ok]and swapped the control module in base of unit.no joy whatsoever.im now scratching my head.any ideas gratfully received thanks in advance,maxx

6 flashes i thought that was flow meter issues,ie poor connections on metering can or replace m/can.paul

check the owi (pressure switch in sump)

i think they can give this fault to.

i think switch in sump will give either 2 or 4 flashes.
the six flashes is not filling fast enough. is the pressure o.k?
is the valve clogged pipe kinked etc etc?

it seems to be filling ok.checked valve and hoses.im thinking that “metering can”is what i would call a flow meter,paul,ive swapped it but i may try cleaning all the connections on the control module next.this one is stretching me at the moment but its great to have your suggestions .thanx guys.maxx

in the last few weeks have had 2 with similar probs both hada broken wire at the bottom of the door.one told me the valve then the flow valve neither were faulty look very carefully in the plastic cover

thanx guys,eventually found bad connection on module multiplug, sometimes persistance works.
