Whirlpool dishwasher dwf 416 baffled!

Hi there
have moved into new house which has the above intergrated dishwasher in it .The details are
Make ; Whirlpool for Ikea
Model ; dwf 416
Serial no’ ; 8542 416 15710
have not been able to use it properly since moved in ,have managed to download instruction manauls (thanks to your website) unfortunately does not give much information on fault fixing.
The machine goes for appx 10 minutes then the green light flashes 6 times also bleeps.
Any advice ,help is once again appreciated,you were kind enough to give me sound advice on a washing machine problem which I managed to repair for under £20.(and i make a point of telling everyone that story and about your site

I am sure it is penguin 45-dishes are wet but still dirty.

Best double check – when full the water should cover the base of the machine, touching the salt cap. Very slow fill can cause F6 (flow meter not counting) – consider that the previous owner may have tried to turn off the water to the machine as they were leaving it.

F6 can also be caused by the Water Indicator not registering that there is water present – remove filters and look for the grille at 3 o’clock. This fills with fatty deposits over time. A period of inactivity can allow them to solidify and jam the diaphragm. A good scrub wit a toothbrush and very hot water may get things working again.

double checked penguin 45 and there was major kink in water feed pipe(probably caused by me when forcing machine back in 😳 😳 )

Put setting to rinse only and sounded ok for 3/4 minutes but now start light is flashing 4 times with intermittent beep,there was also still no sign of any water in machine.
The salt level indicator button is constant bright red,water level in container is at maximum.

Drop in water level not detected in the time allowed. Assuming that it does drain, check water level indicator as per first reply.
