This 8 years old machine had me puzzled, the first visit threw up low insulation on the heater which I replaced.

The dishwasher was left in working order with the heater being fine. Now I got a call saying that the dishwasher is skipping program.

I can’t work out what was the problem as I know for sure that everything works. I am unsure if the board need fault code clearing but my experience that they are happy to reset itself.

Am I looking at a faulty board? I don’t have much success on board repairs especially with this particular type of dishwasher. I happen to have a second hand unit (similar age as above) from an old job (damaged heater plug) which is also a whirlpool under the name of Technic (DW2677 2) but the set up is the same with the exception of different heater unit. Will this board from Technic to Whirlpool fit?

Discovered an F4 fault code, the weird thing was that the water fill works, the wash motor works, heater works and the drain works. All that on quick wash but not the normal wash.

I guess the board is goosed. The recent job was the heater replacement due to low insulation perhaps the board was already goosed by then caused by the low insulation and never been right since despite being in working order for the quick wash. I couldn’t test the normal wash at the time due for obvious reasons, did not have the time to sit it through.
