Hi all can anyone help with a little advice please. Always found this site useful , fixed 2 from 2 problems with the advice from here so hit rate is spot on. 😀

I have a Whirlpool American Style Fridge Freezer Model S20BRBB20-A/G.
The drinks dispenser, which is used daily has developed a fault in that after water is drawn off the paddle springs back to shut off the flow, which it does but then the water keeps dripping as if some valve or washer or switch is not operating correctly.
I have had a look at it but can’t see anywhere to adjust anything. Is it just a part to replace ?
At the moment the water supply has had to be turned off to prevent the pool of water on the floor every morning.
    Any suggestions are gratefully received.
    Thanks

It is most likely the water solenoid valve at the back needs replacing.

It is at the back of the fridge freezer on the right behind the bottom rear panel.

You will see it has the pipe from the mains connected to it and one pipe leading to the Icemaker and one to the water dispenser.

It is a double magnetic solenoid valve one unit.

One side of it feeds the Icemaker and one side feeds the water dispenser.

    Thanks Bob
I will have a look at that and try and find the part number.
I had just wondered if there was any other kind of valve / switch etc closer to the actual point of the dispenser at the front which held the water back / cut it off after the paddle springs back when the glass is removed ?
Cheers I will post if that fixes the problem
