hi not been yet, dryer about 14 months old, customer didnt have model no to hand as they were calling from work..

he says drys for about 15-20 mins then cuts out..comes back on about 2 hours later,

sounds like a thermal cut out, any point me in right direction

i had a hotpoint dryer doing this once. when it cut out i couldn’t find anything wrong. when i tried it again it cut out after a while but this time because the customer happened to turn off the radio, i could hear the wall socket fizzing. so basically it was a poor connection at the wall being stressed by the current drawn by the tumbler.
it’s a long shot, but don’t rule it out.

There’s loads of different models so you’re asking a lot.
Pure guesswork, motor clogged with fluff and overheating?
