When I lwas at university in America, I had a wonderful book called The Way Things Work in Your Home and What to Do if They Don’t. With that book I repaired my dryer, my diswasher, my vaccuum cleaner and more. Appliances here, even same brand, are so different I can’t do something as simple as replace my dryer belt, which broke Monday. Can someone tell me please how to access the inside of my Whirlpool AZW663 so I can replace the belt. Or tell me where to get a repair manual! It has a gazillion screws and I just know all of them don’t have to come out to replace a belt. Thanks

The sad fact is, in the UK , the law governing what is available to the public is vastly different to that in the US. Manufacturers here will not release that information, even to us engineers at times. We as “professionals” are also governed by what we can safely tell the public.

Basically, the back and the top need to be removed, with the power off of course :zap:

Please restrict posts to one, they always get a reply 😀

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, Dave. I don’t understand about the posting though. Am I not allowed to respond to someone else and ask a question for myself in another post? My first post was not a question, it was an answer to someone else asking about dryers.

No, that one is fine, there was a duplicate of this one, perhaps mistakingly which I have deleted 🙂

Please feel free to reply to others or ask new questions, sorry for the misunderstanding.

    Dave.
