I have a Whirlpool DWF 405 from 2001. The LED is flashing constantly. From what I read in other posts, it seems like this means error code F01 that indicates faulty NTC sensor.

I therefore disconnected the NTC sensor and measured the resistance, but it seems to be OK. Resistance drops when temperature increases, so it does not seem to be faulty. I also checked the wires from the control unit to the NTC, and they seem fine.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Strange to say, despite your testing, the ntc sensor is almost certainly the fault. They are extremely sensitive, as is the computer board. Changing it will almost certainly solve the problem.

It seems you are right, when I measured again, the NTC is faulty. I ordered a new one.
