Whirlpool DWF 405 Flashing LED…PLEASE HELP !!!

Can anyone help please?

We have a Whirlpool Dishwasher purchased from IKEA France in March 2003.
The model No. DWF 405.
It has developed a fault as follows:
Machine starts on program 2 and pump runs for 30 seconds.
Water enters machine and first cycle starts.
At end of the cycle, pumps out and next cycle starts.
Water starts to enter again but within a few seconds it pumps out and the green led starts flashing.
The pump can be heard running for several seconds then machine stops completely.
The flashing led has a 7 flash sequence.

Many thanks Penguin45 for your response.
I took off the left hand panel, found what I hope was the matrix sensor, the contacs looked clean but I gently squeezed them closed a bit.
MAGIC …t went through a complete cycle..no flashing led’s..really hope thats fixed it.
