ParticipantThis is a built in (under counter unit) DWF413w type 12137 serial number 999929030538. Purchased from Ikea store. 450mm in width.
The problem I have is that I started a wash cycle as normal & about 3 -4 hrs later noticed that it was still going. I opened the door, stopped it & noticed the the water had not drained away. Upon emptying the dishwasher, I noticed that the water was dirty & greasy so I guessed thast it was blocked. I stripped all filters & removable arms ETC as per instruction book, cleaned everything & restarted it. Left it switched on for half – one hour (supposed to reset after 10 – 15 mins but nothing happened. I then checked the U bend to see if the was blocked but was clear. Why wont it reset itself? Does this mean that the dishwasher itself is still blocked? or do I have another fault?
I have replaced the outlet/drain pump & is clear of any blockages. I can get the dishwasher to empty some of the water out. I empty the dishwaher manually, & refill it manually apprx 3ltrs of water to do this, (it fills just over the salt container lid) the machine will empty most of the water out. It will then continue to cycle the remaining water around & around the machine it will heat the water but not take in any water? but the dishwasher still won’t reset itself as per instruction manual: Quote “if you open the door during the wash cycle, you must wait at least 1 min, with the door ajar before starting the dishwasher again. If the dishwasher is stopped during the wash cycle, when started again it resumes the wash cycle from where it was interupted.”
This is where I am stuck. Is there a manual override so that I can reset it to try the wash programme again? the end of cycle light is not on & it did not buzz as it would normally.?July 9, 2006 at 4:37 pm #181360Dave_Conway

You mention the U bend, presumably this is the one under your sink ?
Have you checked the connection where the waste hose joins the trap ?

Yes this is the u bend under the sink. & Yes I have cecked the hose that joins the trap. I know there is no blockage there because to to a small kitchen the waste outlet is shared dishwasher, sink & washer/dryer.
