ParticipantHaving read the other posts regarding the flooded base problems usually being the hose on the pump I set my machine up outside on blocks without the base attached and ran a rinse cycle so that I could try to see the point of the leak.
The water is coming over the top edge of the large plastic moulding and drips over the inlet and outlet hoses.
I presume a seal has failed somewhere. It only appears to drip while the pump to the spray arms is running.
It is more of a fast trickle than a drip if you’ll pardon my description.
Any advice on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.March 2, 2007 at 12:39 pm #206011kissarmy

Think I’ve sorted it.
Feeling round the edge of the plastic moulding, in the narrow gap between it and the metal base of the wash cavity I could just feel the sealing gasket.
At the point where it was leaking this bulged out a little.
I loosened the screws under the mesh inside the wash cavity either side of this bulge and then pushed the casket back into its groove and retightened.
I’ve run 2 ful high temp wash cycles while its still up on the blocks and with the base off (don’t worry, I put up lighting for outdoor rock festivals and I’m very used to dealing with electricity and water/rain) and no more water has leaked out.
Its back together now, reinstalled, and on its second load.
This is a great site by the way, I spent several hours yeaterday learning all sorts.March 4, 2007 at 1:39 am #206012DJ-ApPlIaNcEs

Yes but did you learn why it poped out in the first place??? 😀

I’m guessing that if it was not quite seated properly in the first place continued heat/cool cycles could eventually cause it to be disloged. Can’t think of any way it could go from being correctly seated to bulging out and leaking in the space of one or 2 washes.
If anybody has any better ideas, or thinks it might recur please let me know. -
