Whirlpool DWF B10 beeps & flashes 11 times-what’s the fa

Hi,
I have a 2 year old Whirlpool DWF B10, and it keeps stopping and beeping. The start LED flashes 11 times, pauses and starts again. I’ve seen other problems on this site where it’s a clogged water indicator, buit that’s all clear(from what I can see – dunno how to take it out) and the machine is draining ok.

ANn ideas what fault 11 flashes indicates?

9/10 times, the diaphragm behind the grill is being jammed by accumulated fat. You can sometimes clear it in-situ with a toothbrush and plenty of hot water. Only way to be certain is to remove it, clean it and check function. It’s a twist fit from underneath.

You can also get this code if the machine leaks water into the base and activates the flood protection switch.

Power off before doing anything.
