whirlpool dwf b10 bleeps and flashes 11 times

hi newbie here!

I have just had mu local engineer out to look at my 15 month old whirlpool dwf b10 dishwasher which i got from Ikea. It is doing the above fault. So i have made my through all the forum and carried out all the repairs / cleaning suggested.

1 – shook drain pipe and then poured hot water up it and then turned off at wall for 20 mins and tried a 70 degree cycle – no joy (that was suggested by the whirlpool help line)

2 – cleaned the the black dome located at 3 o clock with toothbrush and hot water – not dirty at all that i could see

3 – local engineer removed side panel and we watched it fill up, remove some wiring on the side going into a blue terminal, cleaned connectors and tried 3 times but no joy.

My engineer has said i will need a new optical water indicator (as suggested by Penguin45 in previous posts. Any idea on what the part number i?

any help is much appreciated as i have been without a dishwasher for over week now and i am loosing hope!!!

at least my hands will be fairy soft after this!!!!

Optical water indicator is not fitted to this appliance, the standard water indictor is and is likely to be your problem. If you are sure that the diaphragm is clear of fatty deposits, the microswitch on the back of the device may not be switching. It’s a “light-action” switch and the spring in the switch can lose the will to live quite easily.

thanks penguin – where would i get the part number for this switch? if the back is off the machine is it straight forward to see?

update, i was that local engineer!!! as refered to in previous notes, i took the left side panel off, cleaned small board to no avail. could not source just the board so had to supply the complete inlet matrix which has the board in place.. fitted it yesterday fault cleared customer happy.. i remembered a similar fault on a diplomat d/w but that was fixed by cleaning the connections on the board..
