Whirlpool DWF416 8 flash error code?

Hi all,

My dishwasher stopped mid cycle and repeatedly flashed/beeped 8 times.

I stopped/started it again and it continued to complete the cycle. I know this is going to occur again, what does the 8 flash error code signify?

8 flashes is still the Water Indicator not working properly.

Remove the filters, look at the 3 o’clock position in the sump. There’s a black grid, which is probably choked with fatty deposits. Very hot water and a good scrubbing with an old toothbrush may clear it. If it’s particularly bad, you may need to remove the unit for a proper clean. It’s a twist-fit from underneath. Power off if you have to go that route.

Also possible that the microswitch has failed, in which case you’ll need THIS.
