    Whirlpool DWFB10W – 8542 416 15810

Recently fixed my washing machine but had to remove dishwasher to do this.
After reconnecting dishwasher and using a couple of times, it started tripping the electric. Didnt realise and kept resetting the electric.
Now the dishwasher has no power. Also didnt empty. Has water in the bottom.

Any help appreciated. Draining the water tonight.

    Regards

    Russ, Leeds.

The fill hose weeping down the back and into the undertray is the obvious one to go for – water and electrics is a good combination………..

Otherwise, it’s a process of elimination. Heater and mains suppressor will cause shorts. Output hose from the circulation pump splitting will soak everything and cause shorts. Possible broken wiring in the door, although that is quite rare these days.

Stay safe, power off if you’re sorting this yourself.

    ok thank you.
i read somewhere that the machine not being bang on level could cause the drip tray to spill to??

when i took it out it did get tilted quite a bit and i assumed it was fully drained after its last succesful cycle.

could water from the drip tray have gotten on to some electrics causing this short.

i guess i’ll have to get a whirlpool engineer for this.
