This is my first participation in this excellent forum and I would like to thanks all participants.My Whirlpool american style fridge freezer S20B RSB 21-A/G, 858615101001, bought in Nov.2003 has been working very well until Dec.2010. After 4 months with the random clicking noise I asked the local support and with 226 euros the problem has been solved, but existing a LED and light flashing when the ice dispenser is on. Discovered this site “Uk whitegoods” I obtained the capacitors kit and I repaired the board ,detecting 3 capacitors out of nominal capacity. Now with the original rear board ( repaired ) all is working well including flashing , but the filter ( new ) red light is always on; my question for the experts is do I need to modify the front control board ? or is existing any other problem in the rear control board ?

Looking for complicated solutions I finally found the most simple way to return to nominal operation , ¡ filter reset for 3 seconds ¡ .In conclusion the modification using the capacitors kit, done on rear control board, is a fantastic way to save more than 200 euros and this is not publicity. I have only to sell the new board coming from Whirlpool in ebay.
