    Hi everyone

Have a small problem with a Whirlpool for Ikea Combination Microwave/Convection Oven – Its a Nutid model.

We have had it for a fair few years now and over the last few months I have noticed that the turntable has been getting ‘jerky’. It used to be really smooth in it’s rotation but now it is as if it gets stuck and then catches up with itself and sometimes slops whatever is being heated if it is watery and not far from the brim of the container it is being heated in.

    I have tried everything obvious:

    1. I have cleaned the depression in the base of the microwave in which the rollers run (not that it was dirty)
    2. I have cleaned the rollers on the plastic spider (not that they were dirty either)
    3. I have ensured that the drive pinion in the middle of the base of the microwave that engages with the underside of the turntable is properly engaged
    4. I have replaced (how much???) the plastic ‘spider’ as I noticed that one of the rollers was out of round

    Unfortunately nothing has worked.

Do any of you guys (or girls) think the motor might be at fault?

    What say you?
