Whirlpool for Ikea dishwasher flashing light

Dishwasher came to end of programme, but start light stayed on in flashing mode.So I cleaned the filter and held the start button pressed in for 2 seconds as per instructions in user guide, I should then have been able to start a new programme, but the start light was still flashing and dishwasher will not work at all.Any ideas? Model is DWF415S TYP NGPM , unfortunately I don,t have the service code number the plastic strip with it on is missing.

To cancel the programme, hold the button down until it goes ‘bip’. Then shut the door and wait for the drain pump to stop running. If the lamp is just doing a steady continuous flash, you most likely have an NTC (temperature sensor) failure.

Thanks for advice, tried holding button in but no bip.Light still flashing it flashes twice pauses then flashes twice again pauses and so on.Where abouts is the temperature sensor situated, how would I go about fixing it, or is this too complicated for diy.How do I test the component to check if it has failed.Thanks
