HI I have a 4.5 yr old American style fridge freezer which keeps alarming due to temp reduction in the freezer and the food defrosts. Whirlpool engineer charged me 55 and made a poor attempt to fix it, saying I may need to replace either of the two circuit boards but he doesnt know which. If I can get to the boards( If I knew wherer they were) I could sort it out myself. Can anyone please tell mewhere they are and how to get to them.
    Thanks.

the main one is at the back of the freezer, behind the metal panel at the bottom, its enclosed in the big wite housing, next to the compressor

    its normally that

    Hi there

Funny this because we have had same problem as you for last 2 days. We initially thought the vent in the freezer was problem as was blocked by packet of fish. Then thought maybe it was overloaded so moved some food out to garage freezer. Then thought maybe getting overheated from central heating being on most of the day. Was going to move it to another part of kitchen further away from radiator. Maybe it’s none of these and circuit board thing is the problem.

Keep me posted on here to let me know if it solves problem. My Whirlpool American fridge freezer about same age as yours too so maybe they designed to last that long before things start going wrong. Good luck!!
