Whirlpool fridge/freezer S20DFBB20-A/G

Our problem is, freezer not defrosting automatically. We end up with huge amounts of ice over element and the fridge becomes warmer.

We have replaced the capacitors to both front and back PCBs, replaced defrost thermostat and tested power to and through defrost element (reading of 20 volts obtained on volt meter – don’t know if this should read higher or not).
We have also repaired the plastic slide in the motorised baffle.

As defrost thermostat and capacitors have been replaced, could the problem lie with a replay on the rear PCB?
If so can you advise which one…..or suggest another solution?
We are wary about purchasing a new PCB, as from what we hear, others have done so only to need to again replace it twelve months later.

ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED AS WE HAVE HAD JUST ABOUT EVERY PROBLEM GOING WITH THIS APPLIANCE FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS, BUT ARE DETERMINED IT WON’T WIN !!!!!
