we keep getting a problem with whirlpool upright frost freee freezers that over acouple of weeks they are icing up over the drain hole which then causes the coil to block and eventually leading to the appliance having to be manually defrosted. This has happened to nearly every one we have sold does anyone know of any modification we can do to resolve this.

Tried talking to whirlpool technical but they are no help at all as there is no technical at whirlpool apparantly!

    Thank You

I had one myself quite a few months ago and found that the wiring plug assembly with the heater wires was not pushed in correctly.

    Re: whirlpool frostfree uprightfreezer AFG8275NF

I am having problems with my Whirlpool AFG8275NF no frost freezer. Two weeks out of guarantee the temperature dropped. I called a local engineer out…the fan was frozen solid. He manually defrosted it and I presumed the door maybe had been left ajar at times although the alarm never went off as it does when I rummage about. He told me if it happens again, then to empty it and leave the door open for three days. (which is what I am about to do)
The same thing is happening again and I KNOW the door hasn’t been left open. I have contacted various people at Whirlpool saying I believe there to be a design fault or it is not fit for purpose but they say there are no real complaints about this freezer and I can pay for an engineer to come out. HELP! I can’t afford to do this only to be told I’ve left the door open. Looking on this site, there does appear to be a problem with this freezer. I would welcome any information I can use with regards to people having the same fault (and what causes it?)
    Thanks in anticipation!
