Help,
I am getting some serious nagging from the missus about the dishwasher not working just when Im trying to watch the footy!! The thing stops after 30 secs and starts bleeping. The light is flashing 4 times then a pause then starts again.Can anyone help? 👿

Well, turn it off for the next ten minutes………. 😀
Four flashes is a draining error – water level drop not detected in the time allowed. So, some sort of blockage – filters, drain coupling, kinked/crushed drain hose; or a problem with the water level control switch.
Power off if you remove any panel; click the link below for a UKW engineer if you are unsure how to proceed.

Thx Penguin45, Footy’s finished now so I have taken the machine out and straightened the hoses. Ran the washer again on a rinse and hey presto i could hear it working and it seemed fine. BUT, then i tried it again and this time I could hear no water going in and then it started bleeping again. Is there a way I can check the inlet path?

The second time you tried it, had you pushed the machine back to its original position and possibly squashed the fill hose?

No, thats the strange part, its still out and the hose is straight, I even took the hose off and checked it and it’s fine.

Remove filters, look into sump. On the right hand side is a black plastic grid. This fills up with grease, fat and other assorted crud and is probably the source of the problem – the machine thinks it’s full when it isn’t – next thing you know, fault.
It’s a twist fit from underneath – power off before removing any panel.

Ok, the number is 8542 347 15810. I have the bottom plate off the machine (power is off) and I have taken the black grid off, it is as you say completley blocked with grease etc so I am cleaning it now. Also i noticed by the inlet is a white plastic tank that looks like it has brown sponge inside is this right? I aint going to bed till it’s done so it could be a long night!!

When you are cleaning that black thing (Water Indicator) be sure not to puncture the membrane beyond the grill, thus rendering it useless.

Thx a lot guy’s, it’s been running now for 20 mins and no bleeps and lots of water going in and out. Loooks like I can get the bbq ready for tomorrow night now and watch the match without any nagging!!
