Whirlpool G2P DW1 blowing main socket fuse

Hi guys, bit rude of me for this to be my first post but 😳
My dishwasher is just over 2 yrs old, and last night my main ring for the sockets went. I tracked the cause to the dishwasher, keeps tripping the box. Wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Was the machine running at the time? How far into the programme was it?

Heater failure and leaking recirculation pump are popular failures.

Cheers for the reply bud. The machine was still in its cycle as there was water still in the filter. Is the price of the pump and fitting going to be higher than a new machine? Whirlpool wanted £79.50 JUST for a call out!!!!!

Well, your local independent has lower overheads and will certainly have a lower charge….. Use the Repairs@ link for a local UKW engineer in your area if you aren’t taking this on yourself. We’re all signed up to a service Charter, so you will get a reliable, responsible service with accountability.
