Hi Folks.

Went to this oven today, tenant in property complaining that the oven does not get up to the higher temperatures. Has been like it since they moved in in May.

I was not able to get to the back end of the cooker to check elements etc as some prat had installed it with about 2 feet of mains cable, a bigger job than I could afford the time for today. I have been to a similar model which had a base element in the lower (fan) oven, which was the cause of the problem. Does this model have such a base element and if so would failure of same cause a fault code to display? Are there any other issues I should be looking at when I return.

No base element in the lower oven according to SIOS Disk.

Doesn’t seem to list a fault code for element failure.

Stick a temp probe in and see if stat is switching off too soon.

It is quite hard to tell from the picture if this element is for the top oven or bottom oven.

4819 259 28847 Heating element lower is the part number if it is.

F01 Open or short circuit
of the temperature probe
Replace the temperature probe

F02 Overheating of the oven Replace Capricorn
(oven power unit)

F03 Capricorn not properly configured Replace Capricorn
(oven power unit)

F04 WISP protocol doesn’t work
(communication error)
Replace Capricorn (oven power unit)
or replace Scales (hob control unit)

Thanks for your responses on this guys.

Does anyone have any info on what readings one can expect from the temperature probe? Am I right in thinking that the probe connects to s1/s2 on the pcb.
