Whirlpool Generation 2000+ Model: G2P61F/SS

Basically went to turn on the oven and seen a small spark jump from the selector switch, since then nothing works…not even the hob?

If the selector switch has gone would this affect the whole oven, or alternatively if one of the plates on the hob have gone would this stop the hob itself from working?

Any suggestions or advice are greatly appreciated.
